I've seen a lot of issues online with the MacBook Pro not being able to get full resolution on the CRG9, but nothing so far about them not working at all.To repair damaged system, you have to purchase the licensed version of Reimage Reimage. It's just the combination of 2019 MacBook Pro and 49" Samsung CRG9 that do not want to work together.
The cables, MacBook, and monitor all work in other cases. The Samsung CRG9 also works with my Windows 10 desktop via DP and my older 2015 MacBook Pro using HDMI. I've tried connecting the MacBook to an older Samsung monitor I have, and it worked, both with the USB-C to DP and the HDMI connections. I also tried connecting them using a USB-C to Display Port cable, but neither the MacBook nor the monitor detect each other in that case. The MacBook could detect the monitor, but the monitor did not detect input when I set the source to HDMI. I tried connecting them using HDMI and the Apple USB-C to Digital AV adapter. My MacBook is up to date, running Catalina 10.15.6. I cannot get the two to work together at all. I have a 15" MacBook Pro (2019) that I got around a month ago, and I just bought a Samsung CRG9 49" monitor as well.
